Baltic in Review- Amanda Beech's 'Covenant Transport Move or Die.'

A new body of work by British artist Amanda Beech was brought together in the video 'Covenant Transport Move or Die', accompanying the multi channel video is a series of copper plate etchings.

The five channel video delivered a mixture of analogue style pop and video game aesthetics that featured 5 characters who banded together to form a workers crew. The manager, worker, programmer, consumer and dealer occupy a wasteland and from this place of 'mystical abstraction' they program and mobilise economics, states, cultures and people.

The copperplate etchings acted as a preface, as well as an epilogue for the video work mimicking circuit board aesthetics as much as corporate name plates.
