Willem de Kooning

Willem de Kooning, Graphite, Pastels, Crayons, Oil on Canvas, 1950-52

I chose to examine the work of Willem de Kooning due to the manner in which he approached painting through the movement of abstract expressionism. His choice of media was also something that intrigued me, mixing media that I thought would clash with each other such as pastels and oil paint.
