Alberto Giacometti

Alberto Giacometti, James Lord, 1964

I was originally drawn towards Giacometti due to the paintings that he produced towards the latter half of his artistic career. It was the sense of space and scale that I was interested in, however once I viewed his sculptures, I was fascinated how the taller, elongated figures loomed over the viewer and interacts with the space that they were in, it's reminiscent of something out of a dream or being half remembered.
